| How it works: | An application is loaded onto your machine, which processes your backup information. Your server connects to our fileserver nightly through FTP(File Transfer Protocol). The backup process does not involve pcAnywhere, and it does not require any open ports. No data will be sent to your machine, so its' security will not be compromised. |
| Setup: | To set your machine up for off-site data storage, we will need to
make a connection into your server and install an ftp backup application which will automate the backup task. |
| Customer Options: | The customer may choose what time of day the backup occurs and what type of backup will be done.
BACKUP METHODS:
Incremental - backs up only files that have changed since last backup.(Not recommended for Hardhat data backup)
Full - Does a complete backup. |
Additional
Information: | You can also choose to have a confirmation email sent to you once the backup has completed.
Data storage can be used for any data that you would like to back up(spreadsheets, blueprints, Hardhat data, documents, etc.). |
