History

Hardhat, Inc. started out in July of 1973. We were working on-site with a construction company in Memphis, Tennessee
developing one of the first Job Cost Accounting Software packages available in America.

In the early 1980's, we downloaded our system to the PC's. The software was also programmed for UNIX/XENIX Operating Systems.

In 1998, Jamie Rushing, a Plumbing and HVAC contractor who had been a client of Hardhat for 10 years, took over ownership of Hardhat. As a successful contractor, Jamie recognized the opportunity to seize a valuable tool of the construction industry. Since that time, Hardhat has partnered with hundreds of contractors across our nation to assist them in developing and managing successful construction enterprises.

Just as a contractor must keep up with current developments to be successful, Hardhat, striving for excellence, continues to respond to changes in industry procedures.Through the years, Hardhat has greatly enhanced the system by incorporating valuable suggestions offered by our users (contractors like yourself), CPAs, and specialists in the construction field.

We have met many challenges as technology has changed since our founding.

We are in constant dialogue with our customer base to make sure their needs of today AND tomorrow are being met. We are continuing the efforts to keep the Hardhat Job Cost Accounting Software on "The Leading Edge of Technology" and to continue the tradition of being the leading provider of Job Cost Management Software in the Industry.
